He was a wide receiver for his entire career prior to moving to running back this year. That seems to be suiting Delco Christian standout Ron Burrell just fine. Burrell torched Chichester for 188 touchdowns and two scores in a 44-36 victory for the Knights. That was good enough to help Burrell land Most Valuable Player from Week 3 at Monday night’s Delaware County Football Coaches Association meeting at Moe’s Grille.
Interboro running back Quran Mottenon, also known as the Bucs’ Superman for his unusual attire, was the Del Val MVP after running for 142 yards and four touchdowns in a 53-21 waxing of Prep Charter.
Miron Hayes‘ torching of the Marple Newtown defense led to a 27-19 win over the Tigers and helped the Harriton big-play machine land Central League MVP honors for the week.
