Wide receiver Mark Everton and offensive lineman Teddy Field are the top newcomers at Cardinal O’Hara for the 2014 season.
Everton was a standout at Interboro his sophomore and junior years. He posted 1,135 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns over the last two years. Everton led the county in receiving yards in 2012. As Interboro struggled mightily with its passing game in 2013, Everton’s numbers suffered. Everton, though, had his best game in the District One quarterfinals, scoring two touchdowns in a blowout loss to Academy Park.
A 6-5, 325-pounder, Field is a giant of a young man who is drawing heavy Division I interest. He flourished on the best line in Delco last year at Garnet Valley (three of its starters were All-Delcos). Field helps shore up an o-line that showed weaknesses in 2013.
